Thank you for visiting this page, presumably you are here because you too recognise the inherent absurdity of “bombing one’s way to peace and security” and that - for the well being of all - “Peace is the Way”.

Perhaps you came here via YouTube and have been moved by the clip’s passionate call for the empowerment of humanity.  Perhaps you want to DO Something!  Perhaps you want to stand up and take your unique place amongst the millions and billions of fellow human beings who are helping now to co-create a World of Peace, Justice, environmental responsibility and Plenty for All.  WELCOME!  The successful negotiation of this momentous transition depends upon each one of us.  Thanks for coming!

So, we’d like to take this opportunity to give a little more information and links to some of the WONDERFUL groups, organisations, websites and literature that were featured in the film, and also to make note of some of the very fundamental things each one of us can do for a Better World.

CHOOSE PEACE in our lives.  It is very easy to appreciate that if we can’t harmoniously resolve all the little conflicts in our personal lives, HOW can we ask the billions of beings who have suffered horrendously at the hands of a world-gone-crazy to forgive and - in the interests of their children and children’s children - to move forward now TOGETHER, in harmony, co-operation and mutual support?   One of the most Practical Actions any of us can take for World Peace is to cultivate understanding and compassion in all our dealings.  While acknowledging wrongs done, let us find ways to make peace in our families, peace with our neighbors, and peace with our peers, co-workers and colleagues. SEND FORWARD a form letter to Israel’s Minister of Defence in support of the young Israelis, the Shiministim, who - in the face of Israel’s unjust occupation of Palestine and on grounds of morality - are refusing to serve in the Israeli army.  These Israeli youths are heros and sheros!  Let them immensely inspire conscientious objectors all over the world. They are facing ridicule and serving various times in prison for their moral stand.  Please support them : click here.

JOIN your local Peace Group.  Check out the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom; create or join local chapters of Women in Black.  Take part in Peace Demonstrations.  Join the Movement: it’s Big and Growing!

SUPPORT the Gaza Aid Convoy travelling from London to Gaza with 110 vehicles filled with £1m of humanitarian aid for the desperate people of Gaza.  Fantastic Project!  Hurray!

Be part of the New Superpower of Humanity uniting its collective voice for Positive Change!

Join Avaaz.  This organisation is effecting global decision-making by the sheer numbers of planetary citizens it represents.  This is an easy way to ‘take a stand and be counted’, adding your presence to this collectively powerful VOICE of the People.  [O Gaza! Visit www.wiserearth.org and/or read Stephen Hawking’s book, Blessed Unrest: How the largest movement in the world came into being and why noone saw it coming.  The book and website document and link together the million plus groups and organisations around the world made up of individuals working for Peace, Justice and Environmental Sustainability.  Very inspiring!

Read David Korten’s excellent and epic book, The Great Turning: From Empire to Earth Community.  Understand how we’ve arrived at our current situation and where we can choose now to go from here.

RELOCALISE.  This means get connected in your local area to meet your basic needs.  Many will agree that the only feasible way to achieve and safegaurd freedom or genuine self determination, economic security and environmental sustainability is — not through centralisation, globalisation, regulation and top-down control — but through decentralisation or relocalisation.  Get your fresh, organic produce straight from your local Farmers Market; support Local Businesses and personally boycott products that cost the earth and degrade the lives of others; check out the proactive and very upbeat Transition Movement, the inspiring ethical Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, BALLE and the global Permaculture Movement; join a community garden, plant a fruit tree.  Reclaim a sense of community.  And please know, that if we can’t feed and clothe and shelter ourselves, we’re very probably waving our freedom goodbye.

Seek out the truth / don’t believe the hype.  Shift away from mainstream media and find out what the people outside the dominant agenda reckon… the internet is one of the essential tools for us now; let’s all encourage its greatest use!  www.indymedia.org/   www.SpideredNews.com

Many, many meaningful options.  Indeed, the groundswell of compassionate and responsibile activity now is immense: Stephen Hawking likens this upsurge to ‘the immune system of the Earth acting now to save Itself’.  Find your niche.  As Joseph Campbell counseled: “Follow your Bliss”.  Surely, that’s how we’ll co-create the life - and the world - we yearn for.
