The virtual auditorium of a PalTalk Chat Room offers opportunity for

Especially as we joyously ’slippery dip’ down the other side of Mt Peak Oil, we may experience an interim reliance upon ‘gathering virtually’ to meet the needs for regional, inter-regional and global cohesion.

For EASY Installation of PalTalk

DO it ONCE… and you’re IN!!  Click www.paltalk.com. Select ‘Download for Free’ button. A dialogue box will appear. Select save (save to your desktop). Close your browser, then from your Desktop, click the PalTalk installation file once, follow instructions, select your preferred Paltalk Username and Password. Note: Unselect the offer for a free toolbar and the terms of use. Then complete.

Congratulations! You can now participate in any of thousands of PalTalk chat rooms! Including LTN’s.

To Locate the Living Together Network room

From your main PalTalk window, select ‘Browse Rooms’. The PalTalk Rooms List will appear - select category ‘Social Issues and Politics’. Then select category ‘Other’. Then select ‘Living Together Network’. Click to ENTER. [Note: The Room only appears in the list when it has been opened by an Admin.]

To Speak at meetings held in the Online Meeting Ground

Be set up with an internal or external microphone. Then signal (by the ‘hand’ icon) and then when it’s your turn, hold down the ‘Press to Talk‘ icon.

MAC users:

Most  PalTalk participants are on PCs.  At least one Mac user has successfully uploaded PalTalk and participated in an LTN meeting… so it IS possible…  Newer MACs have a dual operating system.  In order to use PalTalk, you must be using Windows XP Operating System.  Those on older MACs will apparently need extra software…   hmmm.
