Living Together Network

LTN provides various opportunities for people who are interested in positive social change to Come Together - both in the real and virtual (online) worlds.

By uniting– by becoming a more collaborative, integrated and self-reliant local society- a community is empowered to truly care for its members, its environment, its quality of life and its legacy to the future.

LIVING TOGETHER GATHERINGS

Living Together Gatherings provide the time, space and context for a regional community to come together - to share the knowledge, skills, solutions, enterprises, activities, artistry and spirit that are promoting well being, harmony, sustainability, ecological responsibility, grassroots empowerment, peace and joy.

In order to maximize the opportunities for a significant and dynamic sharing and connecting of the people within any given bio-region and around the theme of better living together, Living Together Gatherings

* are held four times per year, once each season
* are, when possible, live-in events of (at least) two to four days’ duration
* are organized as not-for-profit, community get-togethers
* encompass a broad spectrum Expo of the community - essentially for the community (whilst welcoming travellers, ‘ambassadors’ and presenters from other regions)
* pull together and then offer a holistic, rich and varied Program of presentations, workshops, community forums, ceremonies, films and performance arts
* provide the space for the setting up of relevant displays and exhibits
*provide opportunities for the sharing of food and celebration
* expand the network of individuals and groups who are then able to maintain contact and information flow through the Living Together Network’s Web Site.

Optimally, Living Together Gatherings are not only get togethers of the people and for the people, but also by the people. In the months prior to a Gathering, the initial organizing team invites the community’s participation with respect to

*helping to organize, promote, set up and run the event

*offering to contribute to the Gathering’s Program, exhibits and displays, activities, etc.

By Coming Together in a sacred, purposeful and focused way, Regional Community Members are able to experience themselves as a unity; formulate together a coherent strategy for positive change and fuel their collective resolve to walk the talk.
